Working together
We have the power to change the way the coronavirus affects Tender Care. We are grateful to our nurses, therapists, CNAs, families, and administrative staff. Thank you, everyone for being flexible and working together as we navigate the uncharted territory we are currently facing. Tender Care is implementing telehealth for eligible services and additional prevention processes that will help us to continue to deliver quality services.
We will continue to monitor the changing COVID-19 situation. Please know that everything we are doing is in an effort to keep our patients home and healthy and to ensure our staff is healthy and can continue to support our patients and their families at home. If you have any questions, concerns, or suggestions, please call the office so we can connect you with someone who can help. 970-686-6437
Communication and Reporting COVID-19 Symptoms
Families: In an effort to prevent the spread of COVID-19 to our staff and the many kiddos/families we serve, we ask that you PLEASE let us know if anyone in your home exhibits any signs or symptoms of COVID-19 before our staff come into your home.
Staff: We ask for your continued adherence to infection control protocols. Contact the office if you have any signs or symptoms of COVID-19 and stay home if you are sick.

Starting 4/26/2020, Colorado has issued a safer-at home order. Please ensure that you implement social distancing, wear a face covering in public, travel for essential purposes only, and limit contact with those outside your immediate household and patient homes.

Social Distancing
During these times, it is important that we all understand and do our part to limit our interactions with people outside of our home to limit exposure. Most of our administration staff and Case Managers continue to work remotely to limit exposure to other people.
Telehealth
Our home service side has launched telehealth for eligible services. Patients can continue to receive physical therapy, occupational therapy and certain Case Manager visits such as supervisory visits and re-certification visits through Live Video Visits.
COVID-19 Screening
We have added several procedures to our ongoing infection prevention and control program to address COVID-19. We are screening staff and patients and following CDC guidelines for those individuals who are exhibiting symptoms associated with COVID-19, who have traveled to a high risk area, or have had close contact with another person who falls into these categories. We continue to stay in contact with TCPS families and staff, have implemented Temperature Checks for our Private Duty Nurses, and continue to provide updates and education to everyone.
Medical Supplies
Medical Supply Infection Control: Our staff are aware of the crucial need for thorough hygienic and cleaning procedures. We have enhanced our infection control procedures to include daily disinfection of high traffic areas and items including our delivery vans, as well as disinfection of any new items entering our warehouse.
Supply Ordering: Please feel free to order up to your maximum monthly quantity of supplies. It is always a good idea to have some extra on hand, but you should not feel a need to stockpile. We have ordered extra stock of many supplies in preparation for any back order issues that may arise.
Deliveries: In an effort to limit person-to-person contact, we will be doing "porch drop" style deliveries whenever possible. Should we need to set-up or service equipment that requires a clinician, our Respiratory Therapist will come into the home wearing personal protective equipment.
